I have been playing with a new Triquint ULNA device (TQP3M9036). It
Shows a lot of promise. It is like a MAR or MSA device in that it is
50ohm in and out. and has a claimed NF about .4db nf ( their numbers).
I have built several pramps to test them and have gotten even better
than they claim and they cover 50-1296 with ease and NF is .4ish or
below. The S11 and S22 are both great and the OIP3 is +35db also
...very nice device. It has great promise as a good terrestrial LNA.
Preamps are foolproof to build and would cost under $50 if all the best
quality parts are used.
Just for information only ...

Hi All,
I'd like to inform that I was active in October part of the ARRL EME
Contest at single operator CW only category. I had 32 QSO's CW random with:
JH1KRC, YL2GD, SM7FWZ,I5MPK, G3LTF, SM4IVE, SM6FHZ, K2UYH, SM5DGX, WA6PY,
KL6M, WA9FWD, K2QM, W2BYP, K0PRT, G4RGK, DL6SH, F2CT, UA3PTW, OK2DL, F5KUG,
IK3MAC, DG5CST, DF3RU, SP7DCS, SP6JLW, OK1CS, SP6ITF, OK1CA, OK1KKD,
DL0SHF, G4CCH
Many thanks to all operators for amazing qso's. Special thanks to Mike
JH1KRC for patience... Heard a lot of other stations and hope to work them
in December part of the ARRL.It was my first parcitipation on 1296mhz EME.
By the last years my EME experienses involved me only around 432Mhz EME
with linear polarisation and homemade 8x23el. yagi set. After a lot of time
spend on garage/garden works and putting personal efforts I was at last
able to rise up my new dish (6.4m f/d=0.4) and take a chalange with EME in
next steps. The dish, tower and AZ/EL rotators, OE5JFL controller are my
homemade constructions. At now Im using RA3AQ feed and homemade G4DDK LNA.
Certainly my new EME system at start require a bit of optimisations. The
first measurements made at Sun SF=71 looks not bad, the SUN/CS = 17dB,
CS/GND=6,7dB. At follow link some further info about my EME dish
construction:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1y7kbamQ6S-ULFED3GCKwpHeDUq1rfnvX?us…
In October part of the ARRL EME Contest I was active with PWR only 80W
still fading and fading, hour by hour. At sunday PWR dropped down to 60W or
even less. I haven't yet final solution for SSPA 1296Mhz but plann to
change it for next time. It will be my pleasure to see new stations in my
log at the next part of the ARRL EME Contest in December.

Jean-Louis F6ABX and the group,
1. We wrote a post about our EME operation for the ARRL EME contest on November 20 & 21. This is what Jean-Louis wrote us about:EME (Earth Moon Earth) Moon Bounce Communicating on the weekend of November 20 & 21, 2021 – Deep Space Exploration Society (dses.science) (http://dses.science/eme-earth-moon-earth-moon-bounce-communicating-on-the-w…)
2. I replied to his email this morning directly:
Hi Jean-Louis,
Thank you very much for writing me about the EME contacts. And thank you for identifying those mistakes for me. Yes, those were typos. I was the person making the CW contact with you. I do remember hearing you on the air, during our contact and at other times during the contest. On our electronic log record, I did log you correctly. I confirm our QSO information:
Station F5KUG with K0PRT (operator WA2JQZ) CW, 23cm EME (1296.007 MHz) sent 539, received 569, power 150 Watts, 60-foot dish antenna.
I revised the post on dses.science.
The QSO data was uploaded to ARRL Logbook of the World. You are welcome to write us by mail for a hard-copy QSL card if you wish. (K0PRT - Callsign Lookup by QRZ Ham Radio)
I mistyped DL7UDA also. In that case I mistyped that on our log as well. But I kept the hand-written QSO CW messages I wrote during the contest to check, in case I made a mistake. I now corrected that error too. I remember looking up his callsign during the contest, because I have been to Berlin, where he is located.
We plan to be on the air again for the last round of the ARRL EME contest in December.
Look forward to meeting you via the Moon again also.

Hi EMErs I am F6ABX main operator of F5KUG Radio-Club.
Who can help me to email Gary WA2JQZ ? I can't find his address .
This weekend I was reading his report on K?PRT during ARRL EME 1296 .
http://dses.science/eme-earth-moon-earth-moon-bounce-communicating-on-the-we
ekend-of-november-20-21-2021
He typed a typo on F5KUG's callsign ,F5KUJ reported .
I would like to know if it is a typo or if he did not correctly copy the
callsign F5KUG in CW ?
(Yet I heard :" F5KUG de K?PRT " at his come back! )
In this case our QSO is not valid and we will have to try again !
Only 35 QSO's this first leg against 43 last year .I hope to do better for
the second leg .

Thank you very much Steve .I saw Gary is in copy of your reply , may be
he can answer.
Vy 73 to all sorry for the B.W.

> WHY must we suffer these conditions when another weekend had degradations of 1.7 to 2.2db(all this on 2M)?????
Because choice of weekend is a compromise among four bands, two of which
don't care much about degradation. And the primary consideration ALWAYS
needs to be peak declination. And next month its Christmas.
My two cents.

Hello all,
I am looking for a BEKO HLV-800 23cm PA to complete my EME station.
If someone in Europe is willing to sell one in good condition then please
contact me off list.

Hello all,
I noticed that occasionally there are requests on the list for 70cm amplifiers. Hence before I list mine on eBay I thought I would list here.
Recently our ACMA (FCC) granted me permission to run 1KW for EME operations. The gods have been kind to me and I have acquired a Beko amplifier hence have not the need for my W6PQL 1KW amplifier .
Details are 1KW (2 transistor) pallet with the big cu heat spreader, heatsink from Jim, directional coupler/ LPF (driving 2 LED BARS for FWD REV PWR), W6PQL amplifier control board that controls fans, SWR sense, overtemp, etc, professional (RS components case) and a 30Amp DC ammeter.
It's only been used at 400W so you will need to change the ammeter or shunt it. You need to supply the 48VDC power supply. The fans are 24VDC and I have run the control board a 24VDC. These can be changed to 48VDC etc i.e. single supply.
Please contact me off the list if you are interested.
I also have 4x15LFA available for VK hams.
cheers
Mick
